Therapy
Let's talk about it
Whatever the reason you are seeking therapy I will offer a safe and non-judgmental space for us to explore the difficulties you might be facing in your life. I bring a relational and empathic approach to the work. In other words, I am simply myself and I welcome whoever you are and whatever you may wish to bring. I believe such a relationship can prove to be the reparative foundation for the change and growth you seek.
ABOUT
I have a MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute and I am a registered member of the UKCP. I adhere strictly to the UKCP Code of Ethics as does my supervisor. I am fully DBS checked and my personal indemnity insurance is with Towergate.
I have clinical experience in, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bereavement, trauma, domestic violence, PTSD and neurodiversity. In addition to my private practice, I work as a Specialist Psychotherapist at Kings College Hospital NHS Trust where I specialise in working with women and men who have suffered sexual violence.

Prior to my training I had a career in the Arts. This is something I maintain a love and interest for. I continue to hold an active engagement in politics and social justice issues, I believe this is integral to my person-centred practice.
HOW I WORK
How we will meet? I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period in a private therapy room in Mile End. Sessions are 50 minutes long. I work both face to face and online.

Am I the right therapist for you? The first session will be an assessment where we will meet to discuss what your needs and wants from therapy might be. This can also be an opportunity to sense if I am the right therapist for you and if working together might be useful.

Fees? My consultation fee is £50. My session fee is £80. I do offer concessionary rates in some circumstances. I do not currently have any concessionary spaces available.

Cancellation policy? Our agreed weekly therapy time is reserved for you and I do not see other clients during this time if you do not attend. I have a one week cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled or not attended, at less than one week’s notice will be charged in full.

Confidentiality? All material discussed during our sessions is strictly confidential although should I have serious concerns about your own or another's safety, I am required by the UKCP code of conduct to inform your GP or relevant authority. This is rare and I would make every effort to discuss this with you prior to involving an external party.
